No abundan grandes artistas españoles de este instrumento y Roberto Moronn se presenta como un consumado intérprete de la guitarra.

Great breakdown and review of the latest recording in Roberto Moronn Pérez‘s Andrés Segovia Archive Series from Rob Barnett on MusicWeb International:

“This is a successor to the two earlier sievings by Roberto Moronn Pérez of works accumulated in the Segovia Archive: works dedicated to Segovia or commissioned by him. There have already been some surprises and this collection serves up some more. … The English-only booklet is very well designed and substantially detailed. Shedloads of credit to Pérez and Reference Recordings for giving us an hour of openly and intimately recorded music fresh to the repertoire and drawn from recently released works from the Segovia archive.”

“As I said about Mr. Perez in an earlier review, he does justice to each composer. Perez plays with flair but also with nuance and subtlety. His guitar opens up each work and expands it seemingly beyond the limits of a single instrument. Although you won’t find any (or if you are a dedicated classical guitar fan, many) familiar pieces here, if you are like me you will find each work entertaining, touching, or enlivening. … Producer, engineer, and editor John Taylor recorded the album at Holy Trinity Church, Weston, Hertfordshire, UK in October 2015. As with the previous albums in the series, Keith O. Johnson of Reference Recordings did the final mastering. Taylor recorded Perez and his guitar at just the right distance to capture a realistic presence, with a slight reverberation and a mildly warm flavor.… everything sounds rich and lifelike.” —John J. Puccio, Classical Candor

“Still quite young, Perez has established himself as a world-class classical guitar master”.

“Roberto Perez has breathed new life into a part of the Segovia legacy that had been too long overlooked. The master himself might very well agree”.

The Roberto Moronn Pérez Andrés Segovia Archive recordings get a double-review on MusicWeb International:

“Roberto Moronn Pérez never puts a foot wrong in his admirable recitals, and occasionally you wonder if mediocre material is being really sold by his excellent delivery. Not so with especially great discoveries by the likes of Pahissa, Donostia, Presti and Martelli. Pérez deserves great credit for unearthing much of this music. … What an excellent series this is proving to be.”
